BANNED from Facebook

The cover directly below was today (20 February 2011) banned from Facebook.

Here’s the Facebook guidelines:  

What kinds of photos does Facebook remove?
Photos are removed if they contain nudity, drug use or other obscene content. If the photo attacks another individual or group, it will be removed as well.

Anyone with a thinking brain can see there’s nothing obscene going on.

Suzanne chose this cover over the alternative seen on the bottom. Would Facebook find that cover equally obscene and ban it too if Suzanne were to post it? Or might it be the word vibrator that irks the powers that be at Facebook?

When he mentioned the title of an ebook that required a cover I was sure Blake was pulling my leg. Well, as you can see above…here it is. Dating My Vibrator (and other true fiction) is an at times hilarious collection of short stories about dating and the interaction between women and men, written by Suzanne Tyrpak. No hard core stuff by the way - for those who might be concerned. It is available now online - buy it at amazon.com today.

The ‘Vibrator Man’ cover above was considered the most commercial of the two covers I designed. Below is the cover that also struck a chord with many, including Suzanne. It is very different from the one above, and you’re not allowed to favour any of your babies, but I feel strongly about the flying vibrators cover below. Maybe there will be an opportunity to get this alternative cover out there, in some shape or form.
