Diane Capri is by no means someone new on the block. Her Judge Wilhelmina Carson series was traditionally published to great commercial and critical acclaim about a decade ago. Now - finally - the series is available as ebooks. Go to Amazon and buy Carla’s Conspiracy, George’s Game, Harper’s Hell, and Kate’s Killing. Then visit www.dianecapri.com, sign up, and you’ll receive a free copy of the short story Darla’s Deceit.

The Last Witness is the second installment of the Lou Mason series by Joel Goldman. If you like a Grisham yarn mixed with a strong dash of Connelly than this one will go down like a nicely spiked iced tea on a blistering hot afternoon. Highly recommended summer reading! Buy The Last Witness from Amazon today.

The interview by Joe D’Agnese reminded me of the covers I designed about a year ago as a pitch to Ron Rash, an author whose work I greatly admire, and would love to design for. He found the illustrations wonderful, graciously allowed me to publish them on my website, and referred me to his agent. Which sadly is where the story ended. Following are a 5 of the 9 covers I designed, all stories part of Chemistry and Other Stories, available from Amazon. Buy this collection - it is a wonderful introduction to Rash’s amazing stories set in the Appalachians. (No endorsement by Ron Rash, his agent or his publisher is implied).

Already the fourth episode of the Icarus Helix series by J.E. Medrick, and it just gets better and better. THIEF follows Mason Schaefer, born a mute. No one can hear him, and then he discovers a power that makes him even more invisible. Buy the first three episodes of the Icarus Helix series; CHEAT; LIAR; and COWARD from Amazon today.

LIAR, the second episode of J.E. Medrick’s Icarus Helix series, was published last week. With COWARD, to be published May 18th, the series takes a darker turn. The novella length episodes can be read as stand alone stories, but you’d be missing out on the overarching story, and how characters evolve. So start with CHEAT, and get hooked.

Beyond a thrilling piece of horrifying suspense, Birds of Prey also takes the collaborative literary experiment begun in Serial and Killers to the next level, with most of the novel having been written in a Google Doc, where Blake Crouch and Jack Kilborn could simultaneously write in real time. All bets were off, and may the best psycho win.

NOTE: Birds of Prey is a 40,000-word novella, which is FULLY CONTAINED in Killers Uncut and Serial Killers Uncut. If you’ve already bought Killers, this is all the new material contained in Killers Uncut except for Killers. If you haven’t read Killers yet, buy Killers Uncut.

Killers UNCUT is the next installment of the SERIAL series. First published two years ago by Blake Crouch, Jack Kilborn, and J.A. Konrath (website, blog), SERIAL quickly turned out to be an ebook sensation. To date it has been downloaded like ten million times, for real. Well - a lot, anyway. It is said people mellow with age - doesn’t apply to these guys, nor their protagonists. Read Killers UNCUT at your peril. After reading, please leave either a 5 or 1 star review - you’ll either LOVE it, or LOATHE it. No gray areas here. Buy it from amazon today.
