Postcard and poster for a monthly women writer’s cafe at the grand cafe ‘t Gulden Vlies in Alkmaar, The Netherlands. The monthly meetings started six years ago, initiated and still organised by Christine de Vries of SHODO. It proved to be such a success many others have started similar cafes around the country.

The publication of SERIAL, early 2009, marked the beginning of a writing collaboration between Blake Crouch, Jack Kilborn, and Joe Konrath. The first (free) novella expanded to a novel and two years later has spawned several sequels, including Birds Of Prey and KILLERS. With SERIAL KILLERS, featuring the killers from most if not all the other books by Crouch, Kilborn, and Konrath, the series culminates in unbelievable mayhem, as you’d expect. The above poster shows how large and incestuous the Crouch-Kilborn-Konrath family has become, which family show up where, and the chronology of it all. Enjoy. For a larger format of the poster please email me.

But the story doesn’t end with SERIAL KILLERS - there is more!

Out soon is STIRRED (cover art by Carl Graves). It features Crouch’s biggest villain Luther Kite and Konrath’s indestructible Jacqueline ‘Jack’ Daniels going head to head. STIRRED will be available from 22 November but can be pre-ordered from Amazon today.

Will start my trip that will eventually bring me to St Louis and Bouchercon2011 this weekend. But first two weeks in The Netherlands, visiting family, friends, and a few clients. It is NOT a holiday, as some people think. I’ll be working until I leave for my trip to the US. First stop Durango, Colorado - digging shallow graves in Blake Crouch’s back yard. Sharing a room with Blake and Marcus in St Louis. If it becomes Hangover 3 I will probably be most similar to Zach Galifianakis. Will be back in Wellington 24 September.
The above is a poster I designed for Bouchercon2011. The central element of the poster also features on a t-shirt design.

My mother is an avid painter. Asked by the Lisse city council to exhibit at their offices with her work I designed this poster. Somebody is either envious of her exhibiting, or they really like her work or the poster - they continue to disappear.
